December 2010

Cloud People seeks a visual form to the shifting nature of contemporary digital identity, by combining photographic portraits with personal data visualisations from cloud computing platform networks.

The exhibition at Inspace in December 2010 consisted of a series of large format black and white photographic portrait diptyches, combining portraits of contemporary cloudworkers with high resolution visualisations of their own networks, together with projected still and animated generative network data visualisations.

The series of personal network visualisations and portraits aims to hold up a mirror up to digital identity, as increasingly personal thoughts, intentions, and desires become uploadable, downloadable, ineraseable and traceable online.
